Mothercraft College of Early Childhood Education offers the Enhanced Language Training (ELT) for Early Development program with funding from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This program is designed to help participants improve English and employment readiness skills specific to the field of early learning and care. The program is ideal for individuals who are considering to work in the community with young children or to further their studies and knowledge about young children. Upon completion of the program, participants will also become more familiar with Canadian culture when working with diverse groups of young children and families.
No previous experience with children is necessary.

You are eligible to register for this program if:
- You are permanent resident, convention refugee, protected person, or Ukrainian Temporary Resident under CUAET - valid documentation required
- You meet language proficiency requirements with valid CLB scores (CLB 5 and 6, with a minimum score of 6 in at least one of the following areas: reading, writing, listening, or speaking), identified in:
- CLB Language assessment, completed within the last 24 months or
- a letter from LINC/ESL school with CLB scores issued within the last 24 months
