Privacy Statement

Mothercraft is an incorporated, non-profit charitable organization, which collects, retains, uses and discloses personal information for the purpose of providing family, child care, early intervention and training services. We understand the importance of protecting your privacy and are committed to dealing with personal information in a responsible manner.

All staff members who come in contact with your personal information are aware of the sensitive nature of the information that you have disclosed to us. They are all trained in the appropriate use and protection of your information.

We ensure that:

  • Only necessary information is collected about you
  • We only share your information with your consent
  • Storage, retention and destruction of your personal information complies with existing legislation, privacy and protection protocols
  • Our privacy protocols comply with applicable privacy legislation, standards of regulatory bodies and the law

For Program Participants:

  • To deliver safe programs and services
  • To enable us to contact you
  • To efficiently invoice for goods and services
  • To complete and submit municipal subsidy claims
  • To comply with government audits
  • To collect unpaid accounts
  • To assist us to comply with all regulatory requirements
  • To comply generally with the law
  • To ensure emergency contacts are available

For Students:

  • To ensure accurate prior learning assessments
  • To ensure ongoing communication and emergency contacts
  • To generate diplomas and certificates
  • To conduct Police Criminal Reference Checks
  • To invoice for services
  • To collect unpaid accounts
  • To assist in required audits
  • To comply with all regulatory requirements
  • To comply generally with the law

For Contract and Other Employees:

  • To conduct Criminal Reference Checks
  • To ensure ongoing communication
  • To make payroll payments and necessary deductions
  • To ensure medical and other benefits coverage as they apply

Note:

We do not collect and use personal information about you to sell customer lists to third-party agencies.

We will ask you to sign informed and expressed consent for the purpose of participating in research activities and educational videos.

We will ask you to sign informed consent to the sharing of personal information with partner agencies.
